At Othram I'm working on a mix of things. For them most part, I'm working on bioinformatics tools in the Rust programming language. I'm getting to write AWS lambda functions, process and analyze genome files, and generate reports that help law enforcement close decades-old cold Jane and John Doe cases. I also occasionally get to work on a web application we have that's a Python Flask project using SQLAlchemy, TypeScript, and GraphQL.

At the Houston Astros, I worked in Baseball Operations, specifically in the research & development department, helping coaching staff, scouting staff, and other departments make sense of data collected on baseball players both professional amateur.
